HOT..... WHAT!

So I know it has been a little while since we have written but so many things have been going on in our lives so far this summer. We have tried to remain open and try new things finding what really works for us. I am so happy we have done that! We tried a new class today and I am sooo in love! We tried HOT HULA! It is amazing! It was so fun and it was a really really good workout. the energy was so high out teacher is amazing. She is adorable I want to stick her in my pocket so she can motivate me every day! LOL It kicked our thighs butts! But she said as we continue to go that we will build stamina and be able to last longer! I cant wait! It is so pretty and so fun I love enjoying what I am doing while working out. Monday and Wednesdays, 7am... That is where I will be!!

YOGA

Whoever thinks that Yoga is for pansy girls or thinks it is all relaxing music and incense... YOU ARE WRONG! Tawnette and I have been doing Yoga once a week for a couple weeks now, and I can tell you it is seriously hardcore! The class we are in is not a begginer course at all! However it is the only one that fit into our schedule. Tawnette's Friend also goes with us on these days, and it is so fun to go with people you know! The more the merrier  Such good motivation to have good people to work out with. Though I feel so foolish trying to balance my body, I am so glad that I have not given up on it. I actually see progress though it may be small and anyone watching me attempt this craziness may think what in the crap is wrong with this girl... I see progress.
It started in my hands, I am able to feel strength in my hands, I am able to stretch muscles I did not even know existed let alone that they needed to be worked on. It makes me feel strong and powerful. I had to take a break in the middle of the first two classes my body was shaking so badly, and the last two times, I made it through the whole class! It may not be for everyone but I really like it and look forward to seeing more progression. The picture I included in this, is the pose my teacher informed us this morning that we are working towards... though I wanted to laugh in her face.... I felt motivated in the fact that she thought I could do that. It has been a little hard staying motivated the last week. Our bodies are building muscle, which yes is good, but is slowing down the number drop I wanted. I know there are other things that help us know our work is paying off, such as looser clothes, and feeling better about ourselves, but I look forward to the number drop, I look forward to reaching my goals and getting to set new goals!

A Lesson Learned

So yesterday was an interesting lesson. It has been a good solid 2 weeks since Tawnette and I have started our lifestyle changes to have healthier and more in shape bodies. Since we have been doing so well we decided to Treat ourselves to something we were craving WENDYS! It was so good! I was so yummy! Right off my tummy felt really heavy... I was uncomfortable... I entered my meal into my calorie tracker and was shocked how many calories I had just consumed! Good thing we had Zumba that night! .... or was it! I felt so sick as we tried to work out. I got so tired so quickly and we both had some wicked heartburn!
"It" was yummy... but we learned a lesson the hard way. Eating healthy really affects your  body, and you don't realize it totally until you don't eat healthy... and how your body reacts to it. So... in the end was Wendy's really worth it. No. And we paid for it in our evening Zumba class.. So next time when the cravings come, we'll say "No way Jose!" hahaha

Little BALLS of JOY!

So to help Tawnette and I stay motivated, and keep sight of our progress that we are making at times of discouragement  I made us progress jars. I saw them on Pinterest which is just the best invention EVER! But we each have one jar that has a marble for each pound we want to lose, as we lose the weight then we get to move the marbles to the other jar. So Days that we feel we have hit a  plateau or feel like we look the same, working out does nothing... We can look at our Jars and see our hard work pay off! I cant tell you the joy I felt moving my first 8 balls over! Talk about motivation!

1 apple, 2 apples, 3 apples.... 4

That was the story of our lives 2 days ago. So we were at work, and all of a sudden Krystal yells over the cubicle and says, I want to do the apple diet! I was like the apple whatie?.... and she said the diet, where you only eat only apples for 3 days! I was like that sounds crazy.... but OK! haha... So that was Monday, and Monday like you know is our crazy Water Zumba day. So we planned to go to Wal-mart after and get our apples to start our "diet" the following day.

You should have seen us! 2 girls in Wal-mart 10:00 at night soaking wet from Zumba.... picking out bushels of apples! haha.... we got red delicious, golden delicious  granny smith, pacific rose, Fuji, gala, and even yes... there is an apple named JAZZ. Of course we had to try all of them. WE bought at least 10$ worth of apples. Poor girl at the register...

So to be honest, it was SO HARD!! I had never been so hungry in my life! And so nauseated by the thought of eating an apple. However the first day I ate like 8 or 9. Krystal out did me and only ate like 4... So we stayed with it for 2 days. And the 3rd we decided to bag it because we weren't feeling well, and with the amount of physical exercise we were doing, it wasn't practical.

But for me, it served its purpose, it CLEANED me out!! Oh yeah... it was great! It was fun and we got some good laughs in as we joked about it! If you need a cleanse, try it for 1 day, maybe 2... but drink lots of water... and eat at least 9 or 10 apples... for it to do its job! ;) Suerte!

INSPIRATION!

I posted the link to our blog on Facebook so that I could share it with our friends and family. My aunt wanted to share this video with Tawnette and I to help us feel inspired and not Give up :) I thought everyone in the world should see this amazing mans story! Please enjoy and Dont Give up on your Goals! I found this Totally Brilliant quote yesterday sadly I do not know who said it but I cannot take credit. "Giving up on your goal because of one setback is like slashing your other 3 tires cause you got a flat"

Water... WHAT!

The first of our Adventures was a doozy! Get this WATER ZUMBA! It was so fun! So motivating! We get to dance, get a work out feel like idiots and no one can see what we are doing since we are 4 feet under water he he he. We could not help laugh as we flopped around in the water singing to Latin songs and surprisingly getting a kick butt workout!

Formal Introductions ;)

We are Krystle and Tawnette. It is very nice to meet you. Tawnette is someone that I love and I trust so I started talking to her about goals I had for myself. Turns out we have more in common than we ever knew! We started making goals together and had so much fun. We started learning so much from other blogs and websites, trying new foods and exercises we decided to make a blog to share the experience with you.

Hello, My name is Krystle. I am 27 years old and I have always been overweight… I do not remember ever not being overweight. I’m tall (5’8) and I hide my weight well… but It is embarrassing and discouraging to have to shop at different stores than your friends. I don’t want to be a rail but I want to look in the mirror and feel good. I have decided it is time to change things… after all the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results correct. I know there has to be more people who feel like me… I know I can’t be alone. So I invite you to join us on this journey… If I can do it so can YOU! Who knows what the results will be… but I am so ready! So Grab on hang on tight… and lets go!

Hello! My name is Tawnette, I am a 23 year old female, blonde, green eyes. I am 5'8" and have always struggled throughout my life, with.... my weight. So thanks to my friend, Krystle who is on this journey with me, I am starting this journey. I've started and stopped things in the past. Gained and lost, and experienced all the roller coaster emotions that go along with it! However now, and maybe it came with age and experience, I've decided to take life by the horns... and put a goal to loose 20 lbs in 12 weeks. So I am sharing my story... my journey. I will tell you all! No lies, no sugar coatings. You're going to get the raw deal, the good times, the laughs, and even the hard times. But all good things require a little sacrifice. So.. here goes... day 1...........
